Rolla City - Treatment
Visual Treatment by Karl Kolecava
1. INTRO
Rolla City offers a visually stunning location.
By incorporating each different area within the building, we can create a captivating marketing video followed by smaller individual videos that can showcase the overall atmosphere of Rolla City, not just the rink.
2. THE IDEA
We would start with a night-time exterior shot of Rolla City and a person or group of people walking towards it. Low angle shot.
We would then showcase the lobby and the individual/group of people receiving skates or sitting down on the chair putting skates on / tying laces.
Show them getting into the skating rink and begin skating.
In between the shots of them skating, we would include other areas of Rolla City such as the air hockey, fusball, drinks area with people using that space. Most likely would need 30 minutes to 1 hour per location to light it.
We would be cutting between individual shots of a good skater and large group of people using the space to create further interest.
The outro would be exterior again with some form of call to action overlay on top.
3. REFERENCES
Using some of the shot references from 2 minutes 14 seconds to 2 minutes 34 seconds we can integrate some individual skating together with many people skating on a busy night to make the video more engaging.
Using some ideas from this commercial we can incorporate some shots such as walking towards Rolla City exterior shot, preparing skates, handing skates to customers, serving drinks and so forth. This can be added inbetween the skating shots to keep the overall video(s) engaging.

Some great looking shots once again and something we could certainly achieve look wise. Shots of someone handing the skates and placement of white lights is something that is feasible with the size of the production.
4. MUSIC
Using licensed music from Artlist.io we can find suitable tracks for the short-form videos. Here are some examples which I believe would work well.
Are You Ready for Me by Funky Giraffe
How the Story Goes by Ge Filter Fish
Flutes Will Chill by Kicktracks
